Kurt Woolner

Third Grade Teacher

Greetings, Bennett families!

As we begin the 2023-24 school year, I am pleased to introduce myself as your child's 3rd-grade teacher, Mr. Kurt Woolner. After dedicating the last 10 years to teaching computers at Bennett, I am glad to return to the classroom and embark on this exciting journey with your children.

Working with a single class of students for an entire year is truly special. It allows us to build strong relationships, witness incredible growth, and celebrate their progress as they move forward in their academic journey.

I firmly believe that elementary education lays the foundation for lifelong learners. By providing positive experiences and celebrating each child's successes, we foster a curiosity and inquisitiveness that will stay with them throughout their lives.

Before pursuing teaching, I had a career in business management. However, I decided needed to make a meaningful change and in 2009, earned my teaching license from WGU. I have previously taught 4th grade at Laurel Elementary, and at Bennett, I have had the privilege of serving as the Media Specialist, Site Assessment Coordinator, and IB Coordinator.

I am dedicated to creating a welcoming and engaging learning environment for every student in our classroom. Together, with your support and collaboration, we will make this school year a truly enriching and successful one for your children.

I am excited to work with each of you and your children, and I look forward to fostering a love for learning that will last a lifetime. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have. Let's make this a fantastic year of growth and discovery!
