An IB World School

Kindness Club

Bennett Elementary Kindness Club will be in partnership with Mwebaza Foundation this year!

Last year Bennett Elementary and the Mwebaza Foundation formed a partnership. Since then we have started cross-cultural exchange activities between our school community and students in Uganda. This year the Kindness Club will have many collaborations with the Mwebaza Foundation, working with Ms. Adams our art teacher, and Hillari Hansen the Mwebaza School Development Director. We are excited to offer various activities including arts and crafts, music, games, and learning opportunities that foster a global understanding and a deepened worldview while building friendships abroad.

When is it? Thursdays - after school from 3:40-4:30

Where is it? Room 33

Who can attend? Open to Bennett students, grades 3-5, and free to join!

What else do I need to know? Students and their families MUST complete a permission slip to participate (link off to the side). Return the completed form to your teacher.

Why should I join & what will we do at this club? It’s a great opportunity to help spread Kindness within your school and community! It is also a great way to meet new Bennett friends and have FUN while doing it :) Considering that our “why” is all about spreading kindness in any environment we are a part of, we hope to do this through kindness projects

of all sorts.

We will do 3 large community-based Kindness Projects throughout the year and a small kindness project within Bennett each week that we meet. There will be Kindness Challenges and Random Acts of Kindness to spread throughout the week while also including many Mwembaza Foundation activities and projects!💜

Kindness Club Fall Dates: 10/05 (start date), 10/12, 10/26, 11/02, 11/09, 11/16, 11/30, 12/07, 12/14, 12/21
