An IB World School

Class Placement

Bennett Elementary’s goal is to create classroom learning environments that will cultivate student performance and growth in all areas.  Recognizing the aim of all IB World Schools is to develop internationally minded people, Bennett teachers carefully consider research based strategies when placing students in diverse, heterogeneous classes, while still taking into account specific student needs, so students can experience the most success academically, emotionally, and socially.

Requests will be considered based upon the needs of your child and the grade level as a whole. Classroom placements will be balanced based up multiple factors.  Please note that in light of these considerations, we may not be able to accommodate every parent request. Requests for specific teachers are very difficult to incorporate for many reasons, not the least of which is changing of staffing that may occur from year to year, so please focus your comments on the general characteristics of a teacher and classroom that will best support your child.  Requests for a specific teacher will not be taken into account.

Please find the form off to the side under "Documents". Please return to the office by April 12th.
