Elizabeth Estrada

Second Grade Teacher

Hello!  My name is Beth Estrada and I am a second-grade teacher at Bennett Elementary.  My favorite thing about working in education is that every year is different.  Each class brings a unique set of personalities and adventures.

When I am not at work, I enjoy hiking, traveling, and spending time with my family.

My family consists of my husband, Anthony and our two girls Vivian and Charlotte.

I received my BA in Elementary Education and Special Education from Northern Arizona University.  I earned my MA in Special Education is from the University of Northern Colorado.

I’m lucky to have called Bennett home for my entire teaching career.  I started as a special education Resource Teacher (now called an Integrated Services Teacher), which I enjoyed for five years.  I then moved into teaching 5th grade for five years.  I have been teaching 2nd grade for the past eight years.  I’m proud to say that I love each of those roles and would happily go back to teach them again.

My favorite children’s book is Charlotte’s Web. This is a great classic of children’s literature.  The characters and setting come alive with personality.  It also teaches about friendship, compassion, and dedication.

“It’s not often that someone comes along who is a true friend and a good writer.  Charlotte was both.” -EB White
