Hello! My name is Tom Sweeney and I am a 5th Grade Teacher at Bennett Elementary. My favorite thing about working in education is being around 5th graders!  Their sense of humor, natural curiosity and unique way of looking at the world are a refreshing break from the realities of adulthood!  

I started out my teaching career in the Peace Corps, teaching English as a second language in rural Mongolia. I am currently in my 11th year of teaching 5th grade.  Prior to Bennett, I taught 5th grade in Loveland for nine years and third grade for one. 

When I am not at work, I'm either riding my bicycle, travelling, or both.  There's no better way to see the world than by bike!   My wife and I live three miles south of Bennett and I am enjoying living and teaching in the same community.
