Hello! My name is Michele Yebra and I am a 5th grade teacher at Bennett. My favorite thing about education is seeing the lightbulb moment for students when new learning clicks. I also believe every child can grow and learn if given the right tools and resources.
This is my 4th year at Bennett, but just moved this year to teaching 5th grade. Previoulsy, I was a third grade teacher. I started my carrer as a 4th and 5th grade teacher in a different district in Colorado for 10 years. Then I took about 10 years to stay home with my children, while part of that as a substitute teacher in the district. I am so excited to be back in the classrrom full time and to be at Bennett. I have enjoyed my last 20 years working with children in different compacitites. I also obtained my MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Regis University. My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education from University of Northern Iowa.
Personally, I have lived in Fort Collins for 8 years, but in Colorado for over 20 years. It is home! I share my adventures with my husband and my two children, Addison and Evan. We love Fort Collins and being so close to trails to hike. Outdoor sports in Colorado are the best!
