Hello!  My name is Sarah Kristine Shigemura. My favorite thing about working in education is connecting with students on a daily basis. No day is ever the same, and there are no dull moments. I love challenging students’ thinking, and the fact that they challenge mine. I feel very lucky to be at Bennett in any role.

My family consists of local parents, local aunts and uncles (2 pair), local cousins, local cousins’ children (who are my nieces and know me as Aunt Sarah), distant sister with two kids named Emiko who is 3, and Ren who is 7 months (still known as Aunt Sarah, but tougher to enforce), live-in golden retriever (Lizzie), and local boyfriend (Eric). I will definitely be marrying this man, but will forever keep the name Shigemura.
